About

Pixel Groovy is the community driven way of finding and sharing the best computer learning resources & tutorials out there. Built on the idea that not all tutorials are created equal, the goal is to create a place where people can find geniune, reliable and informative resources.

What does this do for you? Say you find a really good Photoshop tutorial or a really cool trick in Mac OS X, just submit it to Pixel Groovy, people will find it and if enough people groove the information, it will be promoted to the homepage so the masses will enjoy the information. In return, you will be able to learn from the tutorials other people submit. So if you haven't already, register to get a free user account and start to submit, groove and most importantly learn.

Site History

Found on May 5, 2006, Pixel Groovy has had a number of contributors over its short existence in which I thank very much. Mad4Milk LogoThe basic code of Pixel Groovy is a build of the open source Meneame software and is part of the Affero General Public License. For the most part though, all the code has been re-written & modified from scratch with the exception of the javascript and main database structure. Things like the Pixel Groovy OS X Widget are made possible by kind people like Jon Brown at Widgetshow.com. Some of the site page dynamics is brought to by the Mad4Milk's Object-Oriented JavaScript framework mooTools. The content on the website is filed under creative commons except where quoted in which it is content of the copyright owner.
